Dusty Glass Frog (Hyalinobatrachium pulveratum,)Peters 1873
Found at night in Mocoron, this little frog is true to its namesake 'glass frog' by possessing a transparent ventral surface.  These have also been reffered to as "the frogs with no secrets" as much of the animal's internal organs are visible.  There is relatively very little known about the natural history and ecology of this species.  Even the larvae are a mystery as tadpoles have never been collected.  Gaining a better understanding of this species will remain an objective for future expeditions into the Honduran Moskitia.
